This is the prequel to the demon-hunting saga that leads into "The Holy Hymn of Annihilation," depicting the battles of Michael, a young man who is both a "demon hunter" who makes a living slaying minions of darkness and one of the Holy Angels. Lucca, a half-elf boy, breaks into a nobleman's mansion to steal, but is caught by the military police. Just as Count Caenis is about to sacrifice Lucca, he is rescued by Michael, a demon hunter bearing the crest of the crowned wings...!?
